Fuji Rock Festival

We have just bought tickets for the Fuji Rock Festival at the end of July. Today was the first day that they went on sale. This is the Japanese equivelent of Glastonbury except that there is no mud, lots of rules and nice toilets.

These notes are from the website;

If any of this applies to you then please do not puchase a ticket
  • A man away from home need feel no shame are the words youlive your life by
  • If you believe that Eco is just a trend
  • You loose sight of yourself when you hear the word festival
  • You don't take nature of the spirits of the mountain seriously
  • Are under the illusion that the laws of Japan do not apply within the festival site
  • Believes that there will always be someone there for you to help sort things out
Not quite Glastonbury attitidude me thinks

It is three days long so we will camp. It takes place in Naeba which is a big ski resort we visited last year for skiing.

It should be really good. So far the line up includes Coldplay, Chemical Brothers, Artic Monkeys and the Sisters of Mercy.

Watch the blog for full report in July
