You may remember that Julie appeared regularly in ITNs Election Lab programme. Nat' the lady that ran the programme knew that Julie had moved to Tokyo so when they were looking for an English family in Tokyo to interview about the earthquake who you gonna call.
We got an email from them on Saturday and arranged for them to come around on Sunday morning. They interviewed Julie and I on the roof of the flat (lovely day, good light) Then they interviewed the kids under the dining table taking shelter before having a tour of our flat so we could show the earthquake features.
They wanted to film the kids at school the next day but the school shutdown. So instead then filmed Julie and the kids playing in the park. They then came around at 0530 in the morning to film Julie and the kids departing for the airport including emotional farewell!
The footage goes out in a programme on Thursday night (tonight at 7.30pm). Its called Man vs Mother Nature.
